Harold C. Easterwood (Tom) of Bremen passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the age of 83. He was born in Haralson County, August 8, 1935 along with his twin brother Carroll D. Easterwood (Tim). He was the son of the late Marshall Alexander Easterwood and Alice Cason Easterwood. Mr. Easterwood retired from Marta in 1993, after 31 years of service. After his retirement, he worked part time at Ed Voyles Honda along with his twin brother, Tim Easterwood. He loved Nascar, football and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Culpepper and four brothers, Charles Easterwood, Darrell Easterwood, Larry Easterwood and Rayford ‘Tardy’ Easterwood.
He is survived by his children, Carol Shealey (Ed), Chris Easterwood (Karen) and Robbin Jones (Bill) all of Douglasville. He is also survived by his twin brother, Tim Easterwood of Villa Rica and two sisters; Ann Hembree of Bremen and Judy Walker Collins of Kathleen, GA. He was blessed with seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
Services will be Tuesday, May 21 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Chip Hembree officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Brad Easterwood, Holland Post, Joseph Post, Ben Shealey, Jax Shealey and Brad Bentley. Entombment will follow at the Prayer Mausoleum in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
