Bertha J. Padgett, age 85, of Erwin, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Unicoi County Hospital. A native of Erwin, Bertha is a daughter of the late Mack and Lola Ayers. She was a member of Ninth Street Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and cooking. Bertha loved her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bertha is preceded in death by two daughters: Robin Padgett Smith and Lisa Padgett McInturff.

A graveside committal service will follow the funeral in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Those attending the committal service will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 2:00 PM to go in procession.
