"Fred Henry Ahlenstorf, 74, a retired farmer, died yesterday at the home in Oxford township, five miles north of Olathe. He suffered a stroke about a week ago.

Mr. Ahlenstorf was born in Martfeld, Germany and arrived in Johnson County in 1892 to work on the Lackman farm. Several years later he moved to his present home. He was trustee of Oxford township from 1938 to1942 and for twenty years was a member of the board of the Walnut Grove school district. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Lenexa, the Lenexa cemetery board and was a director of the old Lenexa State Bank.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hadley Voigts of the home; a son, Elmer Ahlenstorf of Gardner; and a brother, Henry Ahlenstorf of Martfeld.

Services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday at the Salem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Lenexa Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, December 5, 1952
