Jack served in the United States Army during World War II and was also interviewed in Coweta's Greatest Generation book. He was very proud of his service to his country. Jack loved to go camping, wood working and also enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Gordon Road for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Smith; brothers, Billy Joe Wade (Ellen), Howard Wade (Elvie); grandchildren, Ashley Banach, Brandon Wade and Hayley Smith; great grandchildren, Annie Banach, Sadie Smith, Hannah Smith and Mason Wade; nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Minister Paul Cockrell and Chaplain Kenneth Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m.
