Wilma Pennington, 94, of Charlestown, formerly of Rushville, passed away April 20, 2019 in Clark Memorial Hospital. Wilma was born August 31, 1924 in Dearborn County to the late James & Emma (Hamon) Reed. She was married to Rev. Aaron Pennington on May 23, 1942 until his death on May 25, 2010. Together they served in several communities as pastor & wife, most recently in Rushville at the First Christian Assembly of God where they retired in 1995.
Wilma is survived by her daughters, Kay (Bill) Beadle of Rushville and Penny (Thom) Frazer of Charlestown, a brother, Hilton (Jean) Reed of OH, 8 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Wilma was preceded in death by her sons, Gary & Terry Pennington, a daughter, Wilma Jean Pennington, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and a great-great grandchild.
Services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, April 25, 2019 in Moster Mortuary, Rushville with William Beadle and Hilton Reed presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 11 AM until time of service Thursday. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Methodist Cemetery in Sunman following services.
