Doris Ellen Allen, 53, of Carrollton, Ky., died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 26, 1953, in Carrollton, Ky., the daughter of Leonard Lee and Mary Elizabeth Palmer Banks. She was a manager at the Pro Shop at General Butler State Resort Park in Carrollton, Ky. She was designated a "Friend of Rotary" by the Carrollton Rotary Club for her assistance with the club's annual scholarship golf scramble. She was a past president of the American Legion Post 41 Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of Cove Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Allen; one son, Jason Ray Coghill of Carrollton, Ky.; one sister, Margaret Kinman of Carrollton, Ky.; two brothers, Ronald Banks and Raymond Banks, both of Carrollton, Ky.; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. Burial will be in English Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Funeral services were Thursday, May 31, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, with the Rev. Joe Kindoll officiating. Burial was in the English Cemetery, English, Ky.
Mrs. Allen was born Dec. 26, 1953, in Carrollton, the daughter of the late Leonard Lee Banks and Mary Elizabeth Palmer Banks.
She married Ronald E. Allen.
