Mrs. Mozel Brisco, 82 of Ft.Smith, died Tuesday in a nursing home. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 pm Thursday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Lucille Gabel of Oklahoma City; four sons Bob of Lavaca, Kenneth of Mountainburg, Ray & David of Ft. Smith. A sister, Ruth Thompson of Ft. Smith; a brother, Kenneth Dempsey of Van Buren; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mozel was the daughter of Charles F. Dempsey & Lucy Jane Glidewell. She married Robert Vester Brisco July 6, 1924 and together they raised 5 children, Mozel loved to work outside in her garden, and she liked to write down her thoughts, through- out her life she wrote many wonderful poems, An artical in the Ft. Smith Times Record, about her on April 10, 1983. talks about a special book. The people who have known and loved both her and her special words of poetry had a book published with a small collection of her writtings and poetry. Book : (My Thoughts by Mozel Brisco)
