Obituary: Sandra Kay Heater, 54, of Roanoke went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born on October 9, 1964 in Weston a daughter of the late Lonnie B. and Margaret W. Arbogast Mick. On February 3, 1986 she married the love of her life Robert Lee Heater and they shared 31 wonderful years before his passing on June 5, 2017. Sandra is survived by two children: Steven Heater and wife, Laura, and Shawn Heater and companion, Sara Bleigh, both of Roanoke; six grandchildren: Caleb, Easton, and Gunner Heater, Selina and Michael “Bubby” Cogar, and Bailee Bleigh; two siblings: Barbara McCoy of Weston, and Chester Mick of Martinsburg; special friend and relative, Brenda Heater of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews; and two K-9 companions: Snook and Bella. In addition to her parents and husband, Sandra was preceded in death by one grandson, Gage Heater; and two siblings: Linda Ables and Lonnie Steven Mick. Sandra loved her family and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo, painting, keeping up with friends on Facebook as well as watching the hummingbirds at her feeders. She formerly attended Oil Creek Church. Family and friends will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the Pat Boyle Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wease Day officiating. Interment will follow at the Mitchell Cemetery in Roanoke.
