SWORDS – Emma Jean Swords, age 85 of Snellville, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Snellville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Elder Gus Harter and Elder Silas Ford will officiate. Interment will follow at Bay Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 4170 Bay Creek Church Road, Loganville, GA 30052. Mrs. Swords was a member of Bethany Primitive Baptist and enjoyed church activities. She also enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Mrs. Swords was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her sons, Donald E. Swords, Jr. and Kenneth M. Swords; parents, Charlie Hurst and Emma Cleo (Towns) Autry; and brothers, Charles Autry and Gerald Autry. Mrs. Swords is survived by her husband of 68 years, Donald E. Swords, Sr.; sons, David B. Swords and Keith M. Swords; daughters-in-law, Darlene (Davis) Swords and Ann (Collins) Swords; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.
