ELIZABETH LEE 'BETTY' FRANTZ

Mrs. Elizabeth Lee “Betty” Frantz, 94, of Carthage, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, April 7, 2019, in the comfort of her home after a recent decline in health.

Betty entered this life on September 15, 1924, in Carthage, Missouri, one of eleven children born to the late George Earl and Alta Harriett (Ullom) Brown. She was raised in Carthage and attended Carthage Schools. On October 17, 1942, she was united in marriage to Warren Frantz and to this union three daughters were born. Betty worked hard throughout her life. She was employed at a defense plant during WW-II in San Francisco, California, was a checker at IGA, payroll clerk for Steadley Company and secretary at Ozark Mental Health. She enjoyed gardening and spending time in her yard, but her greatest love of all was time spent with her family. She was a member of Carthage Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty-eight years, Warren Frantz on April 26, 2001; a granddaughter, Carrie Fieker; two brothers and six sisters.

Betty is survived by her three daughters, Judy Hutchison, Vicki Fieker and husband, Ron and Kim Hess and husband, Bob, all of Carthage, Missouri; six grandchildren, Bret Cameron, Blake Cameron, Rhonda Fieker, Clint Fieker, Abby Gates and Adam Hess; six great grandchildren, Blane, Hannah, Caitlin, Ivy, Parker and Taylor; a brother, Carroll Brown of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; a sister, Doris Shaunce of Neosho, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Services for Mrs. Frantz are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019, at the Carthage Church of Christ with Pastor John Johnson officiating.
A private family committal will follow at Park Cemetery in Carthage. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Knell Mortuary in Carthage. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Knell Mortuary in Carthage, Missouri.
