Jeremiah TROUT was born 12 Mar 1791 in Germantown, Philadelphia, PA, and was baptized 3 Apr 1791 at St. Michael's Lutheran Evangelical Church. He died 19 Aug 1841 at age 50 years, 5 months, 7 days. A Wilhelmina TROUT 1819-1845 is buried close by and may have been his daughter.
Jeremiah TROUT served in the War of 1812 as a private, Captain John Uhle's Company, 1st Bn. Riflemen; and also in Captain John Uhle's Independent Rifle Company, City & County of Philadelphia, 1814.
Jeremiah's father, Wilhelm TROUT 1768- after 1792 is probably buried by wife Maria, but his stone is no longer evident. Wilhelm was in turn the son of Jeremiah TROUT 1730-1784, son of Johann Balthazar TRAUT, Sr., circa 1685-1729, one of the original "TRAUT Brethren" of Germantown.
Wilhelm TROUT, is documented as "Line #2" in the TROUT-DNA Research Project.
