CALUDE ENGLISH

Claude English, 60, Ritchey, died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday following a heart attack suffered while working in the yard of his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Ritchey Baptist Church with Rev. Cecil Smith and Rev. G.T. Kelley of Granby officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Newtonian under direction of the Mercer Funeral Home of Monett.

Military graveside services will be conducted by the Hobbs - Anderson Amercian Legion post No. 91 of Monett.

Mr. English was a widely known farmer in the Ritchey area, and had lived most of his life there. He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Velma English; two daughters, Mrs. Claudine Burrows of Devine, Tex., and Mrs. Mary English of the home; four brothers, Edward English and Ben English of Ritchey, Raymond English of Joplin and Curt English of Granby; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Boswell and Mrs. Henrietta Wilcox of Granby and two grandchildren.

Claude was a farmer and had been in W. W. I. He died at 12:40 p.m. at his home from Myocardial Infarct due to Disease to the Coronary Arteries. He had been ill for 2 months.
