MOSS ABRAM PLUNKETT SR. was the son of Algernon Sidney Wade Plunkett and Mrs. Emma Judith (Bell) Plunkett.


He was the maternal grandson of James Washington Bell and Mrs. Rainey (Andrews) Bell.

"Moss Plunkett, Active Attorney Dies In Roanoke ---

Moss Abram Plunkett, prominent Roanoke attorney and longtime active in politics, died tonight in a Roanoke hospital. He was 69. Mr. Plunkett entered hospital last Saturday for treatment of a heart condition and complications.


Funeral service will be conducted at Lotz Chapel at 11 a.m. Thursday by Dr. Wade H. Bryant. Interment will be in Sherwood Cemetery.


Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Billie Puett Plunkett; a daughter, Mrs. June P. Poe of Roanoke; two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Glenn A. Main and Mrs. Earl C. Snedegar, of Roanoke, and Walter C. Plunkett of NorfolK."
