Funeral services for Jesse R. Grant, a nephew of Gen. Ulysses S. Grant, were held yesterday in Acacia Park cemetery. Mr. Grant, who was 74 years old, died in the County hospital Sunday after being found unconscious Saturday in the basement of his unheated home. His death was attributed to exposure. He lived at 1327 Washington avenue in Wilmette. His son, Ulysses S. Grant, and four other persons attended the services. [Chicago Tribune (IL) - February 8, 1939]
