Robert E. Thompson.
At the home of his mother, 513 Chestnut street, at 10:40 o'clock yesterday morning, occurred the death of Robert E. Thompson, death resulting from an attack of typhoid fever, with which he has suffered for two weeks. The young man was popular with a large circle of friends, who will mourn his early death. For several years he has been employed at the grocery of H.F. Bodman and is well spoken of by all who know him. Socially he was a member of the Y.M.C.A., taking an active part in that organization, and being a very proficient athlete, was a popular member of the basketball team. He was also a member of the National Guard, having recently been elected to membership Company C. He was also a lifelong member of the Trinity Episcopal church. The young man was only 22 years of age, having been born August 10, 1880. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. S. Thompson, a sister, Mrs. Emil Moore, and a step-sister, Mrs. H.F. Libby, all of this city.
The funeral will be held from Trinity church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
