Funeral Services for Carlos R. Acosta aka Carl Compton were held Thursday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Epperson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Coalgate Cemetery under the direction of Epperson Funeral Home.
Mr. Acosta was born September 20, 1948 in Cottonwood to Amos Alfred and Aloice Acosta Sutton Compton and passed away February 21, 1998 at Oklahoma City at the age of 49.
He was married to Anna Acosta on October 8, 1992 in California.
Survivors include his wife Anna of the home; mother Alois Sutton of Oklahoma City; daughters Angela Yost of Trenton, TX, Thresa Shehan of Trenton, TX, Christie Coulston of Melissa, TX; one brother Johnny Compton of Moore, OK and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Amos Compton.
Pallbearers will be Corky Acosta, Brandon Acosta, Floyd Ferguson, Arnold Adams, Jr., Gordon Latham and Donald Compton. Honorary bearers will be Harold Latham, Jr., Gene Compton and Robert Compton.
