Mrs. Ruff, a native of Choctaw county, was the former Jennie Childress, daughter of the late William O. Childress and Alice Snow Childress. She had lived in Jackson for 40 years where she was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
Surviving are two daughters, Miss Hazel Ruff, of Jackson and Mrs. E. M. Adger, Jr., of Shreveport; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Will C. Ruff, of Gulfport; and four grandchildren, Ed and Jane Vickery, both of Shreveport, and J. Ed Ruff, II, and Rachel Watkins Ruff, both of Gulfport.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Monday morning from the Wright and Ferguson Chapel, with Dr. J. Reed Miller and Rev. Charlton Hutton, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn cemetery.
