Seized and taken in execution as the property of John LAY, Jr , at the suit of John HARPER administrator of John LAY dec'd, and sold on the 13th of January 1826 to the said John HARPER for the sum of $100 he being the higher and best bidder for the same...which Deed Pollthe said John Clippinger, high sheriff aforesaid, acknowledged in open court in the 12th day of April 1826 to be his act and deed and desired the same might be recorded as such"
