Adina Lorene “Edna” Blaylock Jobe, 101, went to be with the Lord early on the morning of Saturday, March 9, 2019.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Garner Baptist Church, 2304 FM 113 North, Garner.
Interment: Bethesda Cemetery, Garner.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the Church.
Adina was born to Clara and Sidney Blaylock on November 24, 1917 in Parker County. She married George Caleb Jobe in 1938 and they were blessed with three daughters. Adina was well known in the Garner Community, as she was the cook at Garner ISD for 33 years and made home cooked meals every single day that some would say famously included scratch made rolls.
Adina was preceded in death by her husband, George Caleb Jobe; her parents, Clara and Sidney Blaylock; her three brothers; one of her sisters; her daughter, Minnie Chipman; and one grandson.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Abner; her daughters, Martha Leatherman and husband, Earnest, and Mary Holguin; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 12 great great-grandchildren; numerous other family members, friends, and her Garner Baptist Church family where she was a long-standing member for over 70 years.
