He was born January 11, 1878, in DeWitt county, Illinois, and the family moved to Iowa when seven years old.
On February 14, 1901, he was united in marriage to Bessie Wilkinson in Iowa. They moved to a farm in York county, near Waco, in 1929. Nine years ago they retired, moving to York.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Willard of Spaulding, Kenneth of Utica, Max of Berkeley, Calif.; grandchildren and one great grandchild, Mark Braden.
Two infant children and a son, Glen, age 23; also six brothers and sisters; preceded Mr. Braden in death.
Funeral services were held April 19 in York, with burial in Macedonia, Iowa.
