Mary Lou Lunsford, 73, of Taylorville passed away at 8:13a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in her home. She was born on October 14, 1945 in Stonington, the daughter of Earl and Ruth (Miller) Coffey. She married J.W. Lunsford on February 18, 1963 in Taylorville. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2008. Mary worked at Taylorville Care Center and was a member of Moose Lodge 1516. She loved time spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived be her children: Terrie Campbell (Rod Murphy) of Taylorville, Robert Lunsford (Chrissy Taylor) of Taylorville, and Donnie Lunsford (Cindy) of Decatur; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; siblings: Merle Coffey (Rita) of Bellville, Elsie Creason (Bob) of Nebraska, and Leah Bailey (Vern) of Bloomington, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter: Mary Ellen Lunsford, 2 great grandchildren, and several siblings.
A memorial service for Mary will be held at 5:00p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at McClure Funeral Home in Taylorville with Tim Campbell officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 until 5p.m. on Wednesday. Memorials may be left to the Lunsford family.
