Hazel Brooks Copko, 57, of the 2500 block of Tarpon Court, died January 6, 1998, in a local hospital.
Born in Altavista, Va., she was a member of Azalea Baptist Church. Mrs. Copko had been a salesperson for Decorum Furniture since 1981. Formerly, she was an interior decorator with E. Caligari & Co. for 17 years.
Survivors include her husband, Roger J. Copko; a sister, Fay Dishon of Radford, Va.; three brothers, Donald Brooks of Rocky Mount, Va., Kenneth Brooks of Chicago, Ill., and Wayne Brooks of Newport News.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Azalea Baptist Church by the Rev. Danny Owens. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Azalea Baptist Church Building Fund in her memory.
