Alene Abrams (Thompson)
April 16, 1942 – February 16, 2019 Alene Abrams, age 76 of Berea, Kentucky, passed away February 16, 2019. Alene was a native of Bond, Kentucky, born to Frank and Betty Thompson Callahan. She was a member of the Glory Land Baptist Church and retiree of Eastern Kentucky University.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Geneva Bales, Ruby Smith, and Raymond Callahan. Alene is survived by her husband Green Abrams, Sons Arlis Henry Abrams, Travis Abrams, daughters Valorie Clemons, Deanna Sowder, sisters Irene Chasteen, Ednay Leager, 13 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Alene will be held Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 11:30, at Lakes Funeral Home, with Bro. Cecil Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Rogers Cemetery at Kirby Knob.
