WALKER, Cass County, Minnesota -- Edna Constance Rodekuhr, 85, Walker, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. It was surmised by family that she suffered a stroke/heart attack while driving, causing her vehicle to cross into the oncoming lane. She was a gentle soul and family will miss her smile and loving demeanor to everyone.

She was born April 20, 1915, in Clifford, N.D., to Hans and Nikoline Stafsberg. She graduated from Nevis High School. She married Howard Rodekuhr on Aug. 10, 1941. She was a dental assistant for Dr. Brice Schuller in El Paso, Texas, the Fort Bliss Dental Clinic in El Paso and at the clinic at Camp Maxey, Texas. After returning to Minnesota, she worked as a part-time dental assistant at Ah-Gwah-Ching. Following that, she worked for the late Dr. Max Muskatin, Dr. Gerald Fields and Dr. Otto F. Ringle, until her retirement.

Survivors include a son, Dale Rodekuhr, Tampa, Fla.; two granddaughters; three sisters, Jennie Stafsberg, Brainerd, Henrietta Stafsberg, Brainerd, and Agnes Horeish, Shakopee; and a brother, Norman Stafsberg, Chicago.

Services were held April 20 at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker with the Rev. David Johnson officiating.
