A native and life-long resident of Fortuna, he was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. He had been employed 20 years as a timber feller and bucker for the Pacific Lumber Co. Age 42.
Private services will be held at Goble's Fortuna Mortuary Friday, April 28, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ray F. Magnuson officiating. Private interment: Sunset Memorial Park. Family requests flowers be omitted.
