Franklin “Dee” Delano Good, Sr. Age 85 of Stanley, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray, VA.
He was born on March 1, 1933, in Stanley, VA. Dee retired from the U. S. Air Force after 22 years as a Tech Sgt. After his retirement from the Air Force Dee began working for Days Inn in Luray as Night Auditor for over 20 years. He was a member of Stanley Adventist Church, Stanley Lions Club and a longtime member of the Caverns Country Club.
On February 2, 1957 he married Velva Bailey Good who survives him. He is also survived by Daughter-Gwen Shenk and Husband Frank Shenk of Luray, Va., Son-Frank D. Good, Jr. and Wife Melissa Griffith Good of Luray, Va., Brother-Austin J. Good and Wife Ethel Good of Stanley, Va., Grandson-Jonathan Shenk of Luray, Va. and Grandson-Zachary Good of Luray, Va.
He was preceded in Death by his father, Leonard C. Good, his mother, Florine May Bradley Good, brothers, Charles Goode, Paul William Good, Ray J. Good, Sr., Sistes, Geneva Florence Cubbage, Allita Blanche Hilliard and a brother, Zecharies Shirley Good.
Visitation will be at The Bradley Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at The Bradley Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 2:00 PM by Pastor Donnie Lam.
Burial will be at Jenkins Family Cemetery, in Stanley, VA., with VFW Comer Jones Post 621 conducting Military Honors.
