John really gave me a run for my money, but I finally got him straight. Some of my 3rd cousins and I match a Blevins group in Harlan and Leslie KY. One of my cousins matches them very closely.
So John went to Harlan, Kentucky. There was another son James who went with him and died in Harlan before 1840. There was also a daughter Keziah, who I'm sure was named for Abigail's mother. She died in Harlan sometime after 1870.
But I'm pretty sure John is the John Blevins who died in Lee VA in 1846. (Lee County borders Harlan KY). His second wife Sarah Stephens filed a pension application as John's widow. She stated that John enlisted in Grayson VA and that she and John were married in Claiborne TN in 1832.
So John is probably buried somewhere in Lee County. I don't know when Abigail died or where she is buried.
