Clarence was born February 24, 1946 at Orr, Ok to the late Mr. Seaton Anderson Abshire and Mrs. Rosie (Farris) Abshire. He departed from this life on Friday, February 1, 2019 in Sulphur.
Clarence was raised in Orr attending school in Orr and Ringling. At the age of 15, he started working in the Oilfield. He married the former Ms. Ellen Taylor on January 25, 1967 at Waurika. They made their home together in Ringling. Clarence loved hunting, fishing and squirrel hunting. He was known to give every kid that came around a dollar. He attended the Church of God of Divine Order.
Preceding him in death are his parents; siblings, Clyde Abshire, Lottie Sanford, Bonnie Satanford, Short Abshire, Sherry Wilson, Dorothy Pemberton, twins Linda and Clifford Abshire, Earnest Abshire, Coy Abshire, Oscar Abshire, Marie Gregg.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Abshire of the home, son, Joseph Abhsire and wife Jennifer of Ringling; daughters Jaime Taylor and husband Dewey of Ringling, Diane Cannon and husband Patrick of Chickasha; sisters, Syble Lyles of Ringling, Virginia Johnson of Ardmore, Letha Martin of Healdton, and Joy Gonzales and husband Cesareo of Healdton; brother, Ike Abhsire and wife Brenda of Alma; grandchildren, Travis Abshire, Cody, Scotty Caleb and Isaiah Taylor, Brian Taylor, Kandice Cioti, Joshua Cannon and Amber Callahan and a host of other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Randy Ridenour, Cody Taylor, Scotty Taylor, Travis Thomason, Brian Taylor and Wayne Jackson.
Honorary bearers Joseph Abshire, Darin Abshire, Johnny Ray Lambert, John Eakins, Trent Baker, Tyler Baker, Hippy Larue and Jim Taylor.
