William Matthew Nelson, “Bill”, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the age of 83.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Nelson; son, Chris Nelson; daughter, Leah Vidrine and husband Scott; daughter-in-law, Shannon Nelson; brother and sister-in-law Art and Sandi Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son Craig Nelson; his parents, Lee and Mary Nelson; siblings, Lawrence, Lee Roy, Ann, Louise, and Kitty.
Bill was a long-time member of University Avenue Church of Christ.
The family would like to welcome guests for visitation at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 31 at Harrell Funeral Home of Austin, 4435 Frontier Trail. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM also at Harrell Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Austin Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Texas Children’s Home, 13200 Crane Rd. Buda, TX 78610, The Salvation Army, or charity of your choice.
