Sherman Rosenberg was the son of Rae Emma Greenberg and Abe Rosenberg.


He received a Bachelor of Science from Roosevelt University in 1956 and a Master of Science from Michigan State University in 1957.

Sherman was a member of the Baha'i Faith. His service as a Baha'i pioneer spanned from the 1950s through the 1990s in Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. He served on the Regional Spiritual Assembly of West Central Africa during his nine years in Nigeria.


Sherman Rosenberg, 84, of New Bern died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Pruitt Health-Neuse.


His service is 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 20, 2018 at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.


He is survived by his wife, Lillie Rosenberg of New Bern; one son, Eni Itan Rosenberg, Chicago, IL; one daughter, Lisa Mayfield, Madison, WI; one brother, Michael Rosenberg Agoura Hills, CA; one grandson.
