Mr. Clyde Nipp, age 84, of Simon, departed this life at his place at Simon on Monday, January 28, 2019. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00P.M. Friday, February 1, 2019 at Simon Cemetery with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Homes in Wilson.

Mr. Nipp was born on May 29, 1934 in Simon to the late Mr. Con Nipp and Mrs. Pearl (Powell) Nipp. He was raised and lived in the Simon area all of his life.

Clyde attended school at Simon Schools. He married the former Beth (Staples) Nipp on October 11, 1962 in Denton, TX. Together they made their home in Simon and raised their children. Clyde pipelined most of his working years as a Journeyman, pipe fitter, and lastly as a welding inspector, starting at the age of 15 years old. He was a proud member of the Local Union 798 for over 56 years. Mr. Nipp loved his family and was known to have a mischievous side with his kids and grandchildren . He was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time outside on his farm.

Mr. Nipp is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Parlee Russell, Meady Mae Vernon, Elnora Phillips, Oleta Self, and an infant sister Ida Dorleen Nipp; brothers, Claud Nipp and Charles Nipp.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Beth Nipp of the home; sons, Clay Nipp of Simon, and Derek Nipp of Simon; grandson, Kyle Nipp of Simon; granddaughters, Erica Nipp of Wilson, Caly Nipp of Wilson; great grandsons, Jayke and Maddyn Haynes of Wilson; great granddaughter, Kynslei Cay Haynes of Wilson; brothers and sisters, Lorene Montgomery of Marietta, Nadine Goode of Wilson, Linda Sue Williams and husband Warren of Rubottom, Conver Nipp of North Pole, Gene Nipp of Wilson, Carolyn Westmoreland and husband Bobby of Ardmore, Donnie Nipp and wife Jeannie of Wilson, John Nipp and wife Ann of Overbrook, Curtiss Nipp and wife Brenda of Simon; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Kyle Nipp, Chris Grace, Bucky Welch, Dakota Paul, Brian Wilson, and Val Jean Cantwell.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Goodson, Sonny Grissom, Joe Dethloff, J.R. Gunter, and Ronnie Miller.
