Clara Lammert Albrecht passed away Monday 28, 2019 at Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Brian McQuiggin officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior, Thursday 1 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Clara was born March 28, 1922 in Meridian to Henry and Martha (Goeke) Lammert. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Womack, Texas. She graduated from Clifton High School and attended Clifton Junior College. On December 30, 1942, Clara married Leo L. Albrecht. They lived in Clifton all their married life, where Leo worked at Farmer's State Bank and Clara was a homemaker, raising their three children. She later worked for Clifton Independent School District.

Clara and Leo always had a garden and she could "can" or "put up" anything. Her dill pickles are still talked about to this day! She and Leo placed a high value on education. They strived to make sure their children and grandchildren had educational opportunities and celebrated when all graduated from college! Clara loved her family and friends, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran and faithfully attended until her health prevented her from doing so.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; parents; grandson, Jason; two brothers, Raymond and Herbert; and three sisters, Nelda, Lillie, and Edna.

Clara is survived by her two sons, Gene Albrecht and wife, Ginger, and Clinton Albrecht and wife, Greta; one daughter, Betty Townsend and husband, Bart; seven grandchildren, Sean Albrecht and wife, Tonya, Leslie Albrecht, Todd Townsend and wife, Manda, Kate Smallwood and husband, David, Kelcey Strong and husband, Robert, Colton Albrecht, and Connor Albrecht; great-grandchildren, River Leo Albrecht, Carter and Parker Tunnell, Grace and Luke Smallwood, Brooke and Summer Verhagen, and Nik Saenz; sister-in-law, Marjorie Fulton, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Sean Albrecht, Todd Townsend, Colton Albrecht, Connor Albrecht, Greg Janke, and Ken Watson.
