Oleta Musetta Odell Davis, age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, January 25th 2019, in Blackfoot, Idaho.

Oleta was born December 9th, 1926, in Marysville, Idaho, to Eva Amanda and Frank Odell. Oleta was the youngest of 12 children. She grew up in the Ashton area but was lucky enough to visit her dad in many different states because of his traveling job.

On October 28th, 1944, at the age of 17 Oleta married the love of her life, Blair Garner Davis. On March 25th, 1952, they were sealed for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He
preceded her in death in 1985.

Oleta worked for S.H. Kress Company in Boise Idaho. She also fed and milked cows, picked acres of strawberries, worked in many cafes and at French’s Potato Processing Plant in Shelley. They also owned their own clothing and shoe store, “Blairs”, in Shelley. Her favorite job was being a mother and an amazing grandma and great grandma.

Oleta was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many church callings including serving in Primary and Relief Society Presidencies.

Oleta and Blair were able to travel to many different countries. In Egypt she even rode on a camel.

Oleta and Blair traveled throughout the United States and loved to be with each other in their motorhome.

The last 13 years of her life she lived with her special angels, Roxie and Darwin Jensen, in Blackfoot, Idaho. She was beloved by all who knew her and was a friend to everyone.

Oleta is survived by her children: Bart (Kathy), South Jordan, Utah; Brent (Marsha), Ammon, Idaho; Roxie (Darwin) Jensen, Blackfoot, Idaho; Bradley, West Valley City, Utah; and fifteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Blair Davis, her parents and siblings, and daughter, Peggy Jo.

A celebration of Oleta’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 2, 2019, in the Blackfoot West Stake Center, 101 North 900 West, Blackfoot, Idaho. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30-10:40 am at the church. A viewing will be held on Friday evening, February 1, 2019, from 6:00-7:30 pm at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 West Oak St., Shelley, Idaho.

Interment will be at 3:00 pm in the Sugar City Cemetery, Sugar City, Idaho.

In lieu of flowers, Grandma OO would love for you to go and do something special for your loved ones.
