MRS. M.W. HAYNES DIES IN PORTLAND

Former Resident of McMinnville Is Buried Tuesday

Mrs. M.W. Haynes, for many years a resident of McMinnville, died early Sunday morning in Portland where she had lived with a son for the past year. Funeral services were held in Portland Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. Haynes, 79 at the time of her death, was the widow of M.W. Haynes, who was a financial agent for church and college campaigns. He was one of the important factors in building up the Linfield college endowment. Mrs. Haynes was at one time president of the Women's Civic club, which later became the McMinnville Women's club.

After the death of Mr. Haynes, four years ago, she lived here three years and then moved to Portland to live with her son, Arthur Haynes. Another son, C.D. Haynes of Rainier, Ore., also survives.
