She attended Nursing School in Allentown and worked as a nurse, raised her children and retired from Montgomery County Geriatric Center.
Survivors: In addition to her husband are 6 children, Carol Jones of Portland, OR, Kenneth Jones of Phoenix, AZ, William Jones and his wife Judith of Phoenix, AZ, Doug Jones and his wife Sharon of Upper Salford Twp., PA, Kathy Jones of Hatfield and Philip Jones and his wife Alanna of Macungie, PA, and a brother Willard Geissinger and his wife Ada of Royersford, PA; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by her step family; Lorraine Witmer and her husband Ken of East Earl, Christine Weiss and her husband Tim of New Holland, Dale Landis and his wife Ruth of Harleysville, Ernie Landis and his wife Fern of Mt. Pleasant Mills, 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Abram S. Jones, two brothers; Darwin Geissinger and Stanley Geissinger and one sister Anna Gehman, a son-in-law Thomas W. Ross (Carol); and three grandsons.
She was an active church member all of her life. She met her first husband Abe when teaching Bible School at Steel City Mennonite Church. She taught Bible School, Sunday School, was involved in the Quilting and Sewing Circle and volunteered in all aspects of church life. After retiring and moving to Souderton Mennonite Homes she volunteered with Meals on Wheels, Care and Share, and actively volunteered at SMH.
Viewing will be held on Friday, January 25th at Souderton Mennonite Homes at 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
Viewing from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, followed by the funeral service at Towamencin Mennonite Church, 1980 Sumneytown Pike, Kulpsville, PA 19443. Graveside service and burial on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:30am at Providence Mennonite Church, 109 S. Mennonite Road, Collegeville, PA 19426. A luncheon to follow the burial at Towamencin Mennonite Church. All are encouraged to attend.
