She graduated from Jordan High and spent two years at Westminster College as a shining star until she encountered demons she was never able to expel.
Artie is survived by her son, Jacob; father, Jack; brother, Sean; two nephews; one niece; three aunts; two uncles; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jean; sister, Jackie Lynn; both grandmothers; and both grandfathers.
Artie asked to be cremated. A visitation in her honor will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Street (00 South), with a short graveside service to follow in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N Street.
