Mr. Sharpe was born September 25. 1947, in Newberry, SC and was a son of the late Julius Curtis Sharpe and Loma Lee Ashley Sharpe. He attended the schools of York County and was retired from Phillips Industries as a truck driver. Rick also worked with Convacare of Chester. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church where he was a choir member, was active with the senior adults at Saluda Street Church of God and the men’s fellowship at First Free Will Baptist Church, and a Veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife of five years, Donna Ballard Sharpe; one daughter: Kimberly Sharpe Beam (Mike) of Chester; two step-sons: Todd Wyatt (Amy) of Chester and Jay Strickland of Chester; seven grandchildren: Andy Hall (Jessie), Rikki Burch of Chester, Kevin Hall (Farrah) of Rock Hill, Pamela Burch, Jessica Beam, Garrison Wyatt and Nathan Wyatt, all of Chester; four great-grandchildren; Kayleigh Burch, Jayden Burch, Bridges Hall and Lincoln Hall, all of Chester. Mr. Sharpe was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Hall and three brothers, Eddie Sharpe, Jimmy Chronister and Sidney Chronister.
