Elias W. Bausman died May 8, 1915. He was born in Darke county, Ohio, on April 22, 1848. He is survived by three brothers and three sisters, David W. Bausman at Hesston, Susie Fry at Greenville, Ohio, Daniel Bausmann at Greenville, Ohio, Esther Brown at Greenville, Ohio, Lizzie Rodgers at Redwood Ind., Thomas Bausman of Canada. Elias W. Bausman was married to Miss Callie M. Cooper, of Lathrope, Mo., Dec. 27, 1870. He was the father of six children, two dead and four living; Lennie Lee Priddy of La Harpe, Kansas, Ernest Monroe Bausman, of Newton, Kansas, Gracy Edna Hoffman, of Emporia, Kansas, Mary Esther Reiff of Newton Kansas. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. C. L. Sorg of the Salem Evangelical church. Burial was made in the Newton cemetery. The Scripture texts were Heb. 9:27. "It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." John 5:24. "Verily, verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life and cometh not into judgment but hath passed out of death into life."
