Laura Marie (Richards) Ferguson Henshilwood

She married Alfred James Henshilwood on November 16, 1945. She was his second out of three wives. He remarried after her death, but is buried beside her.

Her obituary from the September 26, 1977 Plainfield Messenger:

Mrs. Laura M. Henshilwood, 60, of Plainfield died September 20 in Hendricks County Hospital at Danville. She was born in 1917 near Hazelwood, the daughter of Lafe and Alma Stout Richards. She was a graduate of Clayton High School and a member of Hazelwood Baptist Church, Eagle Ladies Auxiliary and was also active in Jobs Daughters. Surviving are her husband, Albert J. "Woody" Henshilwood; eight children, Janice Cherry of Brownsburg, Walter Ferguson of Hazelwood, Sue Schroeder, Marsha Winters and Sharon King, all of Indianapolis, Michael Henshilwood of Clayton, Steven Henshilwood and Marsha Tomlinson, both of Plainfield; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services were September 22 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home. The Rev Hartsel Whilhite officiated. Burial was in Central [sic] Valley Cemetery.
