Robert Duane Riffel, 85, of Buena Vista, Colorado, passed away Friday, January 4th, 2019 at Columbine Manor Care Center, Salida, Colorado.
Robert was born in rural Hope, Kansas on December 1, 1933, son of the late Mabel (Buenning) and Manuel Riffel.
Survivors include wife of eight and half years, Sandra; daughter, Beverly Jackson (Blane), of Nathrop, Colorado; son, Bradley Riffel, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; brother, Eldon Riffel (Pat), of Hope, Kansas.
He is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Isabel Joanne; infant son, Kevin Duane; and brother, Maynard Riffel.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with family present from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 11th, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Abilene, Kansas. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Abilene, Kansas.
