ROSE HILL-Riffel, Maynard longtime resident of Salina, Kansas, passed away September 16, 2015, at his home in Rose Hill, Kansas. Survived by his wife, Jean, of the home; two brothers, Robert Riffel and Eldon Riffel; three sons, Terry and Connie Riffel, Hampton GA, Keith and Karen Riffel, Hanover Park, Illinois; Curtis and Debbie Riffel, Stillwater, Minnesota; daughter, Marilyn and Robert Varner, Rose Hill, Kansas. Maynard leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry Lynn Riffel and his parents, Manuel and Mabel Riffel. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Rose Hill Bible Church, 1410 N. Main, Rose Hill. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 19, at the church. Graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, September 19, at Ebenezer Cemetery, Abilene. Memorials may be given to the church, P.O. Box 186, Rose Hill, KS 67133, which will be dispensed to longtime missionaries who Maynard and Jean have supported through the years. Smith Mortuary, Derby in charge of arrangements.
