FORT ATKINSON - Robert Joseph Hrobsky, 83, of Fort Atkinson, died Sunday, March 26, 2006, at the Fort Health & Rehabilitation Center in For Atkinson.

Robert was born in Watertown on Dec. 7, 1922, the son of Edward and Cecilia (Brudenbach) Hrobsky. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and also served in the Merchant Marines. On March 17, 1951, he married Iline Ruth Feller in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, For Atkinson. Iline preceded him in death on April 20, 1998. Robert worked for 32 years as a machinist in Creamery Package Corp. and also was a tree trimmer in the Fort Atkinson area. Robert was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses of Fort Atkinson. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

Surviving are a son, Joseph (Dianne) Hrobsky, Fort Atkinson; daughter, Carol (Robert) Fiege, New England, N.D.; son, Richard (Paulette) Clifton, Johnson Creek; grandchildren, Jason Hrobsky, Fort Atkinson, Nathan (Tonya) Hrobsky, Milton, John (Tracey) Fiege, Fort Atkinson, Jennifer (Brian) Gens of Sun Prairie, Rebecca (Chris) Stevenson, Jefferson City, Tenn., and Jeremy (Stacey) Clifton, Jefferson; great-grandchildren, Samantha Tollstam, Gavin and Noah Clifton, Steven Aaron Goehl, Keisha and Brandon Fiege, Hunter Hrobsky and Tanner Parkhurst; brothers, Edward Hrobsky, Fort Atkinson, Clyde "Butch" Hrobsky, Lake Mills, Arthur (Rosie) Hrobsky, Watertown, Henry (Shirley) Hrobsky, Jefferson, and James (Margaret) Hrobsky, Watertown; other relatives and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Hrobsky.

Memorial services will be held Friday, April 7, at 8 p.m. at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Atkinson. Inurnment will be in the Cold Spring Cemetery, town of Cold Spring.
