The Nevada Daily Mail, Wed., Aug. 23, 1967, Stella Kennedy Dies--Mrs. Stella Myrtle Kennedy, 84, Montevallo, died at 8:42 o'clock this morning at Burge Hospital in Springfield, where she had been a patient for the past three weeks. Born August 31, 1883 at Milo, Mrs. Kennedy was the daughter of John and Sarah (Neff) Pilcher. On October 27, 1901, she was married to Lewis E. Kennedy in Nevada, her husband preceded her in death. She was a member of Montevallo Baptist Church. Survivors include four children: Mrs. Elsie Jane Daniels, Nevada; Mrs. Nellie Lela Starr, Concordia, Kan.; John Lewis Kennedy, Milo; and Daniel Lee Kennedy, Kansas City. She is survived by one brother, Albert Pilcher, Walker. Ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Kenned will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Montevallo Baptist Church. Interment will be at Olive Branch Cemetery. Friends may call after Thursday noon at the Beeny Funeral Home in Sheldon.
