Travelers Rest - Elizabeth "Lib" Arant Burlington, 62, formerly of Orangeburg, passed away at St. Francis Downtown, Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018. Born Jan. 30, 1956, Lib was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Harry Basil (Flo) Arant. Lib was a graduate of Calhoun Academy in St. Matthews and a 1976 graduate of Limestone College in Gaffney. After moving to Greenville with her husband, she was a cost engineer for Fluor-Daniel Corp. Subsequent to her career at Fluor-Daniel, she worked as a librarian with the Greenville County Library System. She was a member of Slater United Methodist Church in Slater, was a certified Methodist lay speaker, and served as chairman of the board of trustees at Slater UMC. She had been a board member and weekly volunteer at the North Greenville Crisis Ministry for over 10 years. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, David R. Burlington of the home; a brother, Harry Basil Arant III of Orangeburg; a sister, Deryl A. Turner of Lexington; and a number of nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Anne A. Jervey. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in The Howze Mortuary chapel. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1 to 2 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Slater United Methodist Church, P.O.
