William C. Harvey, age 92, passed away peacefully November 25, 2018, at his home in Las Vegas. Bill was born October 22, 1926, in Milford, UT. He graduated from Lincoln County High School in Panaca, and attended Washington State University before enlisting in the U.S. Army during World War II. After service, he moved to Las Vegas in 1947, where he met the love of his life, Nora Ann Gerson. Bill and Nora Ann celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary April 19th this year, before Nora Ann passed away in June. He began working at the Nevada Test Site in 1952. He worked in many capacities for the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 525. He retired in 1988, from REECO, in nuclear energy, at the Nevada Test Site, as superintendent of the Piping Trade. Bill loved golfing, hunting, fishing and UNLV Rebel Basketball. All these things he approached with great enthusiasm. No one made more trips up and down the stairs at the Thomas and Mack during the excitement of a game he couldn't sit still. His friends and family will always remember him as a guy who did it his way! Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Ann; his parents, Alice Vinette Grano and Truman Harvey; sister, Patsy Draper; and brothers, Truman and James Harvey. Bill was survived by his son, Dr. William F Harvey (Jane) of Las Vegas; and his daughter, Alice Harvey Raymond (Gary) of Wellington; five grandchildren, Jennifer Harvey Warnick, Alyssa Harvey Cejka, Billy Harvey, Gary K Raymond Jr. and Rebecca Raymond; and 13 great-grandchildren, all of Las Vegas. Visitation will be at 10-10:45 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m. Sat., Dec. 8, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Monte Cristo Chapel, 1801 S. Monte Cristo Way, Las Vegas NV 89117. Interment will follow Bunkers Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 1216 Las Vegas Blvd N., Las Vegas, NV 89101.
