Eleanor Shropshire Kallam, 85, of Ridgeway, passed away on November 23, 2018. She was born on September 26, 1933, to James Lee (Tommy) Shropshire and Rachel Sheppard Shropshire. She was preceded also in death by her husband, Donald Stewart Kallam; 2 sons, James Dewey Kallam and Paul Sheppard Kallam; 2 brothers, Howard Lee Shropshire and Joe Canie Shropshire.
Eleanor was employed by Henry County Public Schools for 51 years as a bus driver. She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Ridgeway. She was a graduate of Ridgeway High School. She was very active in the 4-H club and because of her participation and achievements was 1 of 4 selected to attend National 4-H Camp in Washington, DC.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy K. Stanley; a son, Stewart Lee Kallam (Myrna); 3 grandchildren; a sister, Mary Ruth Hardin.
Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
