Howard Cleveland Bishop, 92, died November 26, 2018 and is now sleeping in Jesus. He was born March 18, 1926 in Inman, SC to Ezra and Exie (Lawrence) Bishop. A proud WWII Navy veteran, he served most of his time in North Africa. He met Mildred Bailey in a drug store in Norman, and it was look (turned love) at first sight. They were married 73 years before her death August 25, 2018.

Howard worked as a sales supervisor with Borden’s Dairy, retiring after 33 years. He was a huge O.U. fan, loved hunting in Colorado, and tending a vegetable garden.

Preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Mildred, survivors include his sons, Gary and wife Sue, Phil and wife Joyce; 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous other extended family members and friends.

Viewing will be Thursday, 9am-9pm, with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Graveside services will be Friday, November 30, 2:00pm in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
