There is apparently an engraving error that was made on Sarah's gravestone. The death year should be 1924, rather than 1934. The local newspaper printed her obituary in 1924.

Dilling
—Mrs. Sarah Dilling, aged 87 years, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 12, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Homer Hiskey. Sunday Mrs. Dilling became dizzy, fell, became unconscious, did not regain consciousness. Mrs. Dilling came to Kansas over 50 years ago. She has endeared herself to all with whom she associated. All speak of her fine mother-spirit, her excellence as a neighbor. Her husband died 19 years ago. Since this time she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Homer Hiskey. She is survived by 5 sons, 6 daughters, 31 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren. The children have all come home for the funeral service which will be held in the Brethren church at Hamlin, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Claude Studebaker will conduct the service. The children are Andy Dilling, Tulsa, Okla.; George, of Fairview; Joe, of Hamlin; John and Charlie, of Hiawatha; Mrs. Thos. Gillian, El Reno, Okla.; Mrs. Frank Purdy, Atchison; Mrs. Frank Unkefer, Fairview; Mrs. Homer Hiskey, Mrs. R. H. McKinnie, Mrs. John Syster, Hiawatha.
