Funeral of W.D. Connor
The funeral for W. D. Connor took place Sunday from the residence of his daughter, Mrs Emma Martin. The deceased was a native of Ohio, Aged 73 years, and came to his death by being thrown from a cart at Round Valley, Mendocino County, several weeks ago. Mr Connor came to California in 1864 and has made his home here(Colusa)nearly ever since. He leaves to mourn his loss, two daughters and three sons- Mrs. James Yates, Mrs Emma Martin, and Mal., Will, and Luke Connor.
Note: ( the correct spelling of last name is Conner ) William D. Conner .b 1826 .d Sep 1898
William was in the "Civil War" and a new headstone has been placed for him (I believe by the colusa historical society) next to the one pictured here...(this information from my cousin Josie)...Civil War headstone photo was taken by Josie Conner.
