Mrs. Jackie Arrington, age 69 of Columbia, MS and formerly of Dry Prong, LA, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at her residence. She was a registered nurse and was employed 10 years at the VA Hospital in Alexandria, LA. Later, Jackie became a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dry Prong and the Church on Main in Columbia. Mrs. Arrington was preceded in death by parents, Jack and Aileen Beauchamp Rassmussen; and a brother, Wayne Snowden. She is survived by her husband, Quincy Arrington of Columbia; a daughter, Breanne (Jonathan) Dufrene of Columbia; three sons, David (Nicole) Ellis of Houston, TX, Micah (Tonya) Ellis of Lafayette, LA, and Josh (Erin) Arrington of Kelly, LA; a sister, Sharon (Mickey) Ellis of Clarks, LA; eight grandchildren, Gavin, Bailey, Jessy, Piper, Luke, Corey, Joseph, and Josiah; four great-grandchildren, Canaan, Finley, Danny, and Paisley; and many other family members and friends. Funeral services, officiated by Reverend Brian Stewart and Reverend Travis Sanders, will be Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00am at the Church on Main in Columbia where friends may visit with family from 10:00am until service time. Family will also host funeral services on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 4:00pm at Hebron Baptist Church in Dry Prong with visitation beginning at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of arrangements.
